The Goddess of the Moon
Greek-Artemis Roman-Diana OLYMPIAN
Artemis was the god of the moon and hunting. Her parents were Zeus and Leto. Her two siblings were Apollo and Athena.
The god of the moon had some friends and several foes. Her friends included Selene, Hippolytus, The Nymphs, and Chiron. Her many enemies were Aphrodite, Orion, Hera, Callisto, Actaeon, Niobe, and Agamemnon.
Artemis had special, silver arrows that could bring a peaceful, painless death or make them sick. But, in contract, she could also heal people, like her brother, Apollo. The god of hunting also protects the young of all creatures. Unfortunately, she killed Orion, making them enemies.
