The God of the Heavens
Greek-Zeus Roman-Jupiter OLYMPIAN
Zeus was the god of the earth, heavens, and weather. He controlled the amount of rain that fell. His parents were Cronus and Rhea. His siblings were Poseidon, Hades, Demeter, Hera, and Hestia. Zeus saved all of his siblings from a horrible future by getting them out of Cronus's stomach when he swallowed them. Zeus was able to escape because his mother gave Cronus a rock when Zeus was born because she didn't want all of her children to be swallowed. Later, when Zeus was older, he went back to his father and saved his siblings.
His wife was Hera, and they had three children; Ares, Athena, and Apollo. But, in total, Zeus had over forty kids!
Zeus's friends are Tiresias, Gaea, and The Cyclops. His foes are Tantalus, Sisyphus, and Cronus.
Zeus is the most powerful god in all of Mount Olympus. He spent ten years leading the Olympians to a victory against the Titans in the Trojan War. Also, The Cyclops were the creators of Zeus's famous thunderbolt.
